In April 2017, SBI merged with five of its associate banks (State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Travancore), and Bharatiya Mahila Bank. After this merger, SBI became one of the 50 largest banks in the world. After the merger, SBI revised the IFSC codes of some of its branches that were part of the merger.
